Rock-n-Roll for the American Soul – Madison Rising

Okay, maybe it’s just Rock, but without the -n-Roll, I wouldn’t have the title, now would I? Besides, my lack of currentness ought to excuse whatever inaccuracy in this regard.

I came across the American patriot band Madison Rising (hat tip: jonolan), and refreshed, decided to share them with you here, and encourage you to likewise share. Even as you might be disinclined to the particular harmonic energies, surely there are some, let’s say “less ripened”, among you who would find their appreciation for it.

Rock American.

From their site:

Madison Rising brings great rock music back to the forefront of popular culture. With songs ranging from the guitar heavy opening track “Right To Bear,” to the hauntingly epic sounds of “Honk If You Want Peace,” to the beautiful violins of “Hallowed Ground,” it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but also send a message that American culture is alive and well.

Enjoy… and Please Share:

“Somebody Needs to Make the Case For the Constitution”

American, American Thinker, founding principles, U.S. Constitution

The folks at American Thinker have seen fit to publish an article I’ve written entitled:”Somebody Needs to Make the Case For the Constitution“. Though AT’s interest has everything to do with content and nothing to do with this author, I am of course pleased, grateful, and honored to be included among such fine company, if only for a time.

To the content of the article, I think the subject matter is clear enough, though it’s not so clear exactly who this “somebody” is. I don’t know, maybe it’s you… It is also somewhat ambiguous to some as to the reasoned urgency of “making the case”, but to the same this will be evident once the case is made.

Judging from some of the reactions to it thus far [on A.T.], I want to make a few quick comments: 1.) The article means not to imply that “nobody” is currently, vigorously making the case for the Constitution, 2.) some consideration as to whom, primarily, the case needs to be made, is in order, and 3.) being that the article is bit of a clarion call, it was hoped that it might encourage greater summaries in defense of the Constitution. ~tdv

Update 02.24.2013: Posted the complete article here

American, betters, elites, holier-than-thous, nanny, out-of-touch, people, snob

I’m sick and tired of people saying “What the American People want…” when none of them ever ask ME first! @
Ever notice how those who say “What the American People want…” seem to speak of Americans as if they are ‘someone else’? @
I’m as good an expert as any on “What the American People want…”, and I say they want branches… and feet. Think on it. @
And while I’m the go-to guy on “What the American People want…”, I’ll say they want heavier air, lighter water, and more American people. @
If I was a lib, I’d say “What the American People want…” is me and my friends. Then I’d give us to them, & they’d be happy, see. @

On the American Identity ~ A Thread

American, identity

So if we are to see the Return of the American Identity, we must first agree on its definition. Americanism, in truth, is so diverse and chaotic, albeit successful, that it would be stupid to try to entirely quantify or manage it, so this is simply a search for those fundamental characteristics that we can unite behind as being American.
#AmericanIdentity

Consider these identifiers a humble start, please agree or not, and add your own, edit, or otherwise comment. thanks ~tdv
