On the outside of dignity, on the inside of manipulated, lies the coddled cowering servile mass that once was the Great American Character.

Power has been transferred to ignorance. Receptive control is the spoil of war on liberty.

Infiltrators displace the representative republican principle with the mockery of washed masses.

Silence from the captains of industry is a machine of their oppression, by us our suffrage, or on us their complicity.

“Just politics” & “Just Spin” are aphorisms for preemptive unapologetic unaccountability.

Federalist No. 62, paragraph 16 (emphasis mine):

The internal effects of a mutable policy are still more calamitous. It poisons the blessings of liberty itself. It will be of little avail to the people, that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood: if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes, that no man who knows what the law is to-day, can guess what it will be to-morrow. Law is defined to be a rule of action; but how can that be a rule, which is little known and less fixed.

Liberty is never having to say you are free. @

I think it’s becoming Popular again to be fundamentally American. So Go and be COOL! @

Every once in a while, we are forced to identify ourselves, to define our hearts, and align. Now is good. @

Politics, it’s basically turd sales, varying lump sizes, & we always get more than we bought, & it costs us more than we thought… flush @

If you hate your country, and see progress as undoing Her founding principles, then maybe you should move. Progressives,  Occupy movement: We’re not listening! @

We know that our founding principles work… because they already have. Sell your scheme somewhere else. @

My excellence and expertise are secured by the absence of your expectations. @

There is a natural and chaotic hierarchy among men, it is never static or predestined, and only arrogance sets out to control it. @

Stutopia [stoo.tow.pee.uhh] n. 1. A visionary, politically and socially perfect state, designed for the stupid, by the smart (see: liberal) @

How is educational elitism any different from racism? Do they not both find wholesale inferiority outside their ilk? @

If you wish to be ruled, then submit, but don’t demand that the rest of us cower beside you in frailty. @

Common is the sense that we are common, but what we have in common does not make it so. This is common sense. @

To Democrats, some people are worthy and everybody else is punished. This is tyranny. @

Control: Influence Without Regard for Will

02 Wednesday May 2012

Tags

control, influence, will

Control, as I’ll name it here, and in the context of the human, is influence without regard for will. Influence is effect on human thought or deed.

Without the need of any expertise, though I am of course an expert, I’ll add that being controlled is universally abhorred by the human species,  so much so that we may violently reject it. And of influence, it seems commonly tolerated, I suspect for its lack of mandate.

So our baseline is complete. People hate control, and don’t mind influence… (think that again)

But we find this truism wanting, when thought on, as how can control be so completely reviled while being so completely partaken, and so many of our expectations contingent on controlling the will of others?

Does influence lead to control? Does control enhance influence? Are influence and control truly parted? Do we even recognize our controls? When is control an absolute necessity, and where is the line? What are the motives for controlling and submitting to control? Is influence acceptable?

Might we consider for ourselves in our regular judgments and interactions, being mindful of the apparent separation of influence and control, respecting the sovereign will of ourselves and themselves, whether or when are we driving or driven by the machineries of control.

The Box is Good

america, box, control, freedom, security

The box is good, we love our box, we do. We live for the box, the box lives for we, and we have bliss in this. The box is of our making, but we know not how. We are in, they are out, better they just tell us what and how. Just us and our box maketh we. We’re just here, that’s how it be.

The box has sides. Dare not take the sides, for they hide us well from that conflict and this. And the sides have no cuts for us to peek thru and out, and we know this is good for us, not seeing. A drawing on the left side gives us our looking, and it’s good, even changes at times.

The box has a bottom on which to stand, but we prefer to lie upon it. They say the bottom is weak, and we believe, and distribute our weight evenly. The top, well, that’s the best of the box. It’s blue like sky, makes us free and open, like we like to be.

The box is good. Cannot ever leave, but we are free, in this box, are we.
