Whatever ran Liberty off, surely it is our ignorance and fear that keeps us from welcoming her home. @ 06.20.2012

An interesting stat I discovered (tho I expect mine not the 1st notice) about the makeup of the Constitution of the United States, regarding the prioritization of the separate powers of the federal government.
U.S. Constitution: @ 06.20.2012

*ARTICLE III ~ Judicial Branch ~ 377 words 10.3% ~ 2261 chars. 10.6%
Summary: @ 06.20.2012
Of Articles I II & III of the US Constitution, the text is divided: 62% re Legislative, 28% re Executive, and 10% re Judicial, respectively.

What’s left when there’s nothing left by the left? @

When faced with the issue of Constitutionality, the statist will either interpret-to-suit or claim the document invalid. ~tdv @ 05.27.2012
Related: Our Imbecilic Constitution, 05.28.12, by Sanford Levinson, N.Y.Times

Obama’s Continuing Assault on the Constitution
02.14.12, by Mike Brownfield:

…President Obama has time and time again taken actions contrary to the principles of the founding document he swore to uphold, setting forth on a heretofore uncharted path of unconstitutionality that will fundamentally change the character of this Republic for the worse, not for the better.

Progressivism is simply the systematic, incremental, patient progression away from Constitutional government, and toward centralized power. @

Obamacare Versus the U.S. Constitution
03.26.2012, by Alan Caruba :

In a nation where Congress has already determined how much water your toilet tank can hold and whether you can purchase a 100-watt incandescent light bulb, the assertion of federal power is now so great and so unbounded that a case concerning the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), brought by 26 states will decide whether, in fact, there are any rights or powers left to the states.

President Obama’s top 10 constitutional violations
12.04.2011, By Ilya Shapiro, Senior Fellow in Constitutional Studies, Cato Institute:

And so it’s a good thing that Americans are taking their founding document seriously. After all, the Constitution is the font of all federal power.

I’m f’n tired, by this obligation to life & liberty, angry, at the many who shun their duty to either. @

The coward is silent, so the evil in his midst defines him. @

balance, character, check, entertainment, god-men, govt, media, people, politics, power, tv

One problem with Americans is their trust of people they don’t know, such as those on TV, in media, politics, & entertainment. @

Somehow, the public face, voice, craft, the simple likeability, overrules the substance of their character, wisdom, and intent. @

Government is a necessary evil, run by human beings, who are just as flawed as the thug crack head down the street, or you. @

ALL politicians and media should be viewed as equals, not gods, and their words & motives distrusted by default. @

Assume ALL politicians and media are liars, corrupt, or wrong, and you won’t be disappointed. @

Of the separate powers, the people are foremost, the ultimate check & balance, but if blind, they are a perilous power indeed. @

Insatiable the De-Hallowed Halls

arrogant, education, elite, gluttony, indoctrination, learning, literati, men-gods, mind, power, propaganda, reason, society

So the literati, begotten of the other before the other, the special ones, and their providers, specials. Such the arrogant towers they inhabit, so wise, enlightened, so much the more, the higher, the tempest. Even God is beneath the lofty intelligentsia, for it is a heritage, to be posterity, ordained of men-gods.

Truly the superior specie, puffed to wealth by existence, by endowments they bestow upon mere mortals at their charge, engorged and gluttonous, fed by thieving hordes of like-minded power peers, fed by the measure of a life’s labor at the point of a guilt, they are the way and light and lone conduit to being their majesty.

Indeed, our charmed elite intellectuals, chins dripping marrow  of societal prey, assure their meal of its brightened morrow, which in turn concurs, despite the tone of its cracking bone, then, the lookers-on are persuaded that the scholar is starving, away wasting.

Scrubbed are the halls of hallowed learning, banished are the bodies of higher wisdom, replaced, erased, no, infected by parasitical propagandists, bent on the consumption of minds, while they remain palatable, and preemptive of their ripe and reasoned sovereign.
