I am still steamed over the AQIM (al Qaeda) (*& Ansar al-Sharia) terrorist attack (act of WAR) on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11th, 2012, and the deaths of four Americans, including our ambassador, and the Obama administration’s blatant lies and cover-up of what transpired there, and further how they could have prevented it from happening, and even further the lack of any response. How this blood letting is not of primary concern to the electorate is entirely beyond my understanding.
Thought I’d compile my various ventings on the subject here in one place, for whatever reason, adding a link or two. I have no illusion that someone might read all this, just doing because I feel like it.

*The only movement I know in these last ten days is that ex-CIA director Petraeus testified before Congress Friday (closed door), saying that the CIA issued a report after the 09.11 Benghazi attacks stating that, in fact, the attacks were at the hands of terrorists, not a mob pissed about a video. He also said that his report was edited by those higher up than him to remove references to terrorists.
This just confirms what we already knew. Obama LIED through his teeth from day one, Rice LIED, Carney LIED, and Obama and Hillary LIED to the face of family members, over the coffins of those killed, all just to protect O’s sorry ass in an election season.
Sadly, a part of me thinks that if this Obama had told the truth from the start, exposing his other LIE that he killed Al Qaeda, he might well have gotten re-elected anyway.
**CIA Director David Petraeus resigned Friday 11.09.12 (3 days after the Presidential election), citing an extramarital affair for the reason. The CIA annex in Benghazi was where former SEALs Ty Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by mortar fire from terrorists. It was reported 10.26 that the CIA chain of command denied these men military backup during the firefight, and earlier ordered Ty to “stand down” rather than defend the nearby U.S. Consulate that was under attack.
Petraeus denied this 10.26: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.”
Prior to this “resignation”, Petraeus was set to testify in Congressional hearings next week on the Benghazi matter.
The timing and reasoning here are absolutely and obviously suspect. That a man of such stature and respect ends his career this way, on the heels of the Benghazi scandal, waiting until after his boss Obama’s election to do so, but before he was set to testify, is simply unbelievable, and the truth is far afield of any affair.
Prior to heading the CIA, General Petreaus led the successful surge in the Iraq war, had a distinguished military career, and was considered a hero.

By some accounts, the Russians, Iranians and others had discovered that he was covertly providing automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and even shoulder-fired, man-portable anti-aircraft missiles to “the opposition” there, including known jihadists associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda.
The revelation that Mr. Obama was presiding over an operation involving gunrunning to our enemies — including weapons virtually certain to be turned against us, later if not sooner — could have been fatal to his re-election bid. Consider that a serious U.S. military response to the violence in Benghazi would provide ample evidence of the fatuousness and mendacity of the administration’s Arab Spring and “lead-from-behind” in Libya narratives. Toss in, too, Mr. Obama’s refusal to act to save American lives, and you have a perfect storm for a president.
In the crisis, Mr. Obama was evidently paralyzed — not decisive and certainly not courageous. I just can’t believe reporters don’t know enough to ask the right questions! It’s infuriating.
Libya, as far as standing down the rescue, is 100% Obama’s show, and nobody else’s.Only he can grant CBA, not Biden, not Panetta, not Dempsey, not Hillary, and certainly not Ham in Germany.
The entire episode is explained perfectly inside the context of not granting CBA. The CIA QRF in Tripoli? No problem, send them on the local Tripoli station chief’s say-so. He merely informs up COC that he has done so. CCs them so to speak. “This is what I am doing.” Ditto if Predators were in country, no problem using them.
But the big rescue air armada streaming toward Libya right away after the alarm got to Stuttgart and Africom? That has to stop. I believe at the 5pm meeting with Panetta and Biden in the Oval Office, he said, “No outside military intervention,” on the basis that the last report was the “lull” from the consulate, at about 1030 p.m. in Benghazi, when the attack appeared to be over and the situation stabilizing.

I can’t believe cross-border authority permission is not one of the top discussion points about Benghazi. That, and who “set him up” by sending him to Beghazi to meet the Turks on 9-11, with them leaving after dark.
And of course, down the road, was the military rescue-in-progress turned back because Obama actually wanted to make sure the consulate was wiped out? Is that why the spooks at the annex were refused permission to travel the under one mile to intervene? That would connect it all together, but for now, the best focus is on Obama either granting or withholding cross-border authority for the rescue.

I agree completely with the sentiment. However, it’s my assertion that the real real Libya scandal is that an American citizen was singled out and scapegoated and now sits in jail — even though the federal government at its highest levels knew this man to be innocent of the charges they were leveling against him not just for national consumption but for international consumption, running ads in Pakistan apologizing for our First Amendment, not responding to a bounty put on the filmmaker’s head by a Pakistan government official, sending out conciliatory Tweets from embassy staff later defended by the Secretary of State — who herself stood over the coffins of those who’d asked for added security, which she and the Administration had denied, and laid the blame for what was,graphically and utterly, a colossal performative repudiation of the entire foreign policy strategy of this dismal Administration, at the feet of a Youtube video clip and the American who, in producing it, had violated sharia blasphemy laws and was subsequently targeted for death by those we can’t call terrorists. For fear of riling them up.

Got sparked a little while ago on the subject of solutions to America’s problems, you know, instead of just complaining about them, and jotted down these ideas off the top of my head. Some I’ve heard, can’t say where, some I don’t recall hearing, but they may be out there.
You might guess that I’m of the opinion that government largesse and intrusion and corruption is much of the problem, and that’d make you sharp as a tack. If you are new to this sort of thing, consider that everything government has, it first took from the people, or has yet to take from the people. Also note that gov’t IS necessary, but only to the extent summarized in the Declaration, and spelled out in the Constitution. We had a deal.
Anyway, here they are, from a common sense, unedumacated perspective: updated: 2012.05.11 07:00pm est
How about a 10% flat tax, everybody pays regardless of station? 10%’s good enough for God, it oughta be good enough for gov’t. @
How about a gov’t budget that only spends last year’s receipts? @
How about privatizing every entitlement program? All voluntary! Charity is charity, gov’t is gov’t. See? @
How about quantitative legislation? That is, law specifically measured against loss of liberty and property. @
How about a per capita regulatory limit? Want to make a new law, repeal an old one. @
How about a moratorium on new law, contingent on the reduction of current law by, say, 25%? @
How about a per capita limit on the number of gov’t bureaucrats? @
How about a sunset provision on every law and regulation? Mandated revisits. @
How about every legislation be required in its text to explain its Constitutionality? @
How about voter registration requirements that equal drivers license requirements? Prove identity, take a test. @
How about mandatory recall/impeachment/firing of every civil servant who works against the Constitution, which they vow to protect? @
How about we ban all favoritism by gov’t, whether it be race, gender, business, religion, sexual deviance, or whatever? Equality in law. @
How about we kill those who are trying to kill us? Period. Let the military do its job. @
The “tolerant” politician is always the one trying to change and control people who he can’t tolerate.@

The box is good, we love our box, we do. We live for the box, the box lives for we, and we have bliss in this. The box is of our making, but we know not how. We are in, they are out, better they just tell us what and how. Just us and our box maketh we. We’re just here, that’s how it be.
The box has sides. Dare not take the sides, for they hide us well from that conflict and this. And the sides have no cuts for us to peek thru and out, and we know this is good for us, not seeing. A drawing on the left side gives us our looking, and it’s good, even changes at times.
The box has a bottom on which to stand, but we prefer to lie upon it. They say the bottom is weak, and we believe, and distribute our weight evenly. The top, well, that’s the best of the box. It’s blue like sky, makes us free and open, like we like to be.
The box is good. Cannot ever leave, but we are free, in this box, are we.
