Back in June of 2012, President Barack Hussein Obama, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), announced that his administration would be circumventing the Congress, and thereby the U.S. Constitution, by unilaterally implementing elements of the DREAM Act, a legislative proposal dealing with minor aliens which repeatedly failed to become law. When the memorandum was issued, Obama was campaigning for re-election in November.
In case we forgot how it works around here, Congress makes laws pursuant to the Constitution, and more specifically, Congress has the sole power “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.” The President oversees the execution of laws made by Congress.
And is it not enough, with the responsibility for carrying laws into effect, for enforcing them, that the executive needs to encroach upon the authority and duties of legislators? Is it not enough that he has the power to veto legislation presented him by the Congress during his term? Is it not enough that the President commands the greatest military power on earth when Congress calls it? Is it not enough that he has, in concurrence with the Senate, the power to make treaties, and to appoint Supreme Court judges, ambassadors, and other officers? Is it not enough that the President has the power to pardon offenses against the United States? Is all of this power not enough, that he ought to take on the mantle of lawmaker as well?
Apparently not, as Obama’s DHS, calling their actions (or inactions) an “exercise of prosecutorial discretion,” peeled off an estimated 800,000 certain illegal aliens for exemption from current immigration law. They halted the deportations of these certain illegals, or granted deference to them when encountered, and ordered the establishment of a “clear and efficient process” for determining their eligibility for this newfound legal status and authorize them to work in this country.
“Certain” illegals were defined in the DHS memo, almost verbatim from DREAM Act language, thus: Under age 16 when they came here, and had been here at least five years, and were under age 30, and were in school or were high school grads or equivalent or had served in the military, and weren’t criminals (forgetting of course that they had to have committed fraud to enter the latter institutions).
Incidentally, discretion is a matter of independent judgment, based on extenuating, individual, isolated circumstances. Obama and the DHS may be making an independent judgment with respect to existing immigration law, but to then ignore the law where it applies to certain hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants is not discretion, it is lawlessness.
Anyway, in August of 2012, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), acting at the discretion and as a subsidiary of Obama’s DHS, began processing applications from certain illegal immigrants to verify their new legality under the newly established “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) extralegal program.
After seven plus months running, the latest monthly report on the DACA process is out, courtesy of the USCIS portal, revealed by this recent story from the Washington Times.
99.5%! That’s the approval ratio of applications processed thru March 31 2013. Total applications processed: 269,693; Total approvals: 268,361; Total denials: 1,377.

Our government found a mere 0.5% potentiality for fraud or ill intent within a population of 270,000 foreigners here illegally? Where can you find that level of integrity among any group of humans?
But we are consoled in the above mentioned Times piece that DHS expects the approval ratio to drop, to be fair, and “Indeed, the approval rate already has dropped from 99.8 percent just a month ago.” Really… that’s what they say. Furthermore, we are assured in the article by an immigration integrity consultant (retired head of USCIS fraud branch) that advanced analytical predictive technology is being employed to stop any potential fraud, since interviewing all these certain illegals in person is not an option.
This is a “clear and efficient process”, you see, implemented by executive algorithms of multicultural perfection. And this may serve as a model for future grants of amnesty.
Continuing with the DACA report, it also tallies the applicants’ countries of origin. The majority are Hispanic countries (Mexican, Central & South American), and within our hemisphere, including Caribbean.
Interestingly, approvals totaling 10,319 originate from the other side of the planet, like South Korea (5,476), the Philippines (2,370), India (1,750), and Pakistan (723). It makes one wonder how these blocs might be inclined to vote here in the U.S., or if any got the memo that their counterparts were getting a free ride.
The report cleverly lists “Top Countries of Origin”, so as to justify leaving out the nationality of 1,918 approved applicants. 268,361 Cumulative Total Approved, minus 266,443 Approved-to-Date by Country (add them up yourself), equals 1,918 of undisclosed origin. At least this information is not readily available on the USCIS site. Wouldn’t you like to know where the 1,918 are from? Canada, maybe?
Suddenly, inexplicably, thoughts come to mind of certain Chechen immigrants radicalized as Islamic terrorist bombers; 26 yr. old green card holder Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and 19 yr. old “U.S. citizen” Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, naturalized September 11, 2012.
These two barbarians murdered and maimed innocent Americans… and both were here legally, sanctioned by the same system that clearly and efficiently takes all comers, as a matter of political course. No doubt these monsters would have been welcomed among the aforementioned 99.5%, had they been in that pool.
Who among the pure 270,000 DACA recipients will plant the next bomb, or rape the next child, or beat and rob the next unsuspecting American?
It is beyond reprehensible that the Executive Branch of our government would assume for itself unconstitutional powers for the sake of political expediency and favor, if that is the whole of their motive. And it is unforgivable that they would then execute those usurped powers in a manner now proven to be too perfectly irresponsible to claim incompetence.

I am still steamed over the AQIM (al Qaeda) (*& Ansar al-Sharia) terrorist attack (act of WAR) on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11th, 2012, and the deaths of four Americans, including our ambassador, and the Obama administration’s blatant lies and cover-up of what transpired there, and further how they could have prevented it from happening, and even further the lack of any response. How this blood letting is not of primary concern to the electorate is entirely beyond my understanding.
Thought I’d compile my various ventings on the subject here in one place, for whatever reason, adding a link or two. I have no illusion that someone might read all this, just doing because I feel like it.

Why was the prefabricated “video motive”, which likely took hours to prepare, provided to the AP by the State Department, 15-30 minutes before the killing of Americans was even finished in Benghazi? *The only movement I know in these last ten days is that ex-CIA director Petraeus testified before Congress Friday (closed door), saying that the CIA issued a report after the 09.11 Benghazi attacks stating that, in fact, the attacks were at the hands of terrorists, not a mob pissed about a video. He also said that his report was edited by those higher up than him to remove references to terrorists.
This just confirms what we already knew. Obama LIED through his teeth from day one, Rice LIED, Carney LIED, and Obama and Hillary LIED to the face of family members, over the coffins of those killed, all just to protect O’s sorry ass in an election season.
Sadly, a part of me thinks that if this Obama had told the truth from the start, exposing his other LIE that he killed Al Qaeda, he might well have gotten re-elected anyway.
**CIA Director David Petraeus resigned Friday 11.09.12 (3 days after the Presidential election), citing an extramarital affair for the reason. The CIA annex in Benghazi was where former SEALs Ty Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by mortar fire from terrorists. It was reported 10.26 that the CIA chain of command denied these men military backup during the firefight, and earlier ordered Ty to “stand down” rather than defend the nearby U.S. Consulate that was under attack.
Petraeus denied this 10.26: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.”
Prior to this “resignation”, Petraeus was set to testify in Congressional hearings next week on the Benghazi matter.
The timing and reasoning here are absolutely and obviously suspect. That a man of such stature and respect ends his career this way, on the heels of the Benghazi scandal, waiting until after his boss Obama’s election to do so, but before he was set to testify, is simply unbelievable, and the truth is far afield of any affair.
Prior to heading the CIA, General Petreaus led the successful surge in the Iraq war, had a distinguished military career, and was considered a hero.

What was important enough to prompt our top diplomat in Libya to make such a dangerous foray? It seems the ambassador felt compelled to meet with the Turkish consul general that evening for the purpose of damage-limitation following the compromise of the secret weapons pipeline Mr. Stevens was then running to Syria. By some accounts, the Russians, Iranians and others had discovered that he was covertly providing automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and even shoulder-fired, man-portable anti-aircraft missiles to “the opposition” there, including known jihadists associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda.
The revelation that Mr. Obama was presiding over an operation involving gunrunning to our enemies — including weapons virtually certain to be turned against us, later if not sooner — could have been fatal to his re-election bid. Consider that a serious U.S. military response to the violence in Benghazi would provide ample evidence of the fatuousness and mendacity of the administration’s Arab Spring and “lead-from-behind” in Libya narratives. Toss in, too, Mr. Obama’s refusal to act to save American lives, and you have a perfect storm for a president.
In the crisis, Mr. Obama was evidently paralyzed — not decisive and certainly not courageous. Regrettably, the loss of four of our countrymen that fateful night and the cover-up that followed will come to be seen by history as simply the leitmotif (dominant recurring theme) of a commander in chief whose record is a virtually unmitigated disaster for the United States.

I just can’t believe reporters don’t know enough to ask the right questions! It’s infuriating.
Libya, as far as standing down the rescue, is 100% Obama’s show, and nobody else’s.Only he can grant CBA, not Biden, not Panetta, not Dempsey, not Hillary, and certainly not Ham in Germany.
The entire episode is explained perfectly inside the context of not granting CBA. The CIA QRF in Tripoli? No problem, send them on the local Tripoli station chief’s say-so. He merely informs up COC that he has done so. CCs them so to speak. “This is what I am doing.” Ditto if Predators were in country, no problem using them.
But the big rescue air armada streaming toward Libya right away after the alarm got to Stuttgart and Africom? That has to stop. I believe at the 5pm meeting with Panetta and Biden in the Oval Office, he said, “No outside military intervention,” on the basis that the last report was the “lull” from the consulate, at about 1030 p.m. in Benghazi, when the attack appeared to be over and the situation stabilizing.

I can’t believe cross-border authority permission is not one of the top discussion points about Benghazi. That, and who “set him up” by sending him to Beghazi to meet the Turks on 9-11, with them leaving after dark.
And of course, down the road, was the military rescue-in-progress turned back because Obama actually wanted to make sure the consulate was wiped out? Is that why the spooks at the annex were refused permission to travel the under one mile to intervene? That would connect it all together, but for now, the best focus is on Obama either granting or withholding cross-border authority for the rescue.

If so could you please describe any recommendations provided to you regarding available military support and any orders you gave them?”

I agree completely with the sentiment. However, it’s my assertion that the real real Libya scandal is that an American citizen was singled out and scapegoated and now sits in jail — even though the federal government at its highest levels knew this man to be innocent of the charges they were leveling against him not just for national consumption but for international consumption, running ads in Pakistan apologizing for our First Amendment, not responding to a bounty put on the filmmaker’s head by a Pakistan government official, sending out conciliatory Tweets from embassy staff later defended by the Secretary of State — who herself stood over the coffins of those who’d asked for added security, which she and the Administration had denied, and laid the blame for what was,graphically and utterly, a colossal performative repudiation of the entire foreign policy strategy of this dismal Administration, at the feet of a Youtube video clip and the American who, in producing it, had violated sharia blasphemy laws and was subsequently targeted for death by those we can’t call terrorists. For fear of riling them up.
It is, in a word, staggering. And in fact, if we knew where this amateur filmmaker was being held, and had we any sense of decency, we’d be protesting outside the facility demanding his release (forget the bullshit about probation violations), if not overrunning the public spaces inside the facility and staging a sit in of sorts.
