Here’s a little thought experiment. What Color is Liberty? Really, what single color could we intelligently or creatively associate with liberty, and why? Considering the broad meaning of the liberty we enjoy in this great United States of America, liberty that I define as responsible freedom, my thoughts on what color it might be, if it had a color, are thus;

For its relation to value, and Liberty being a most valuable thing, I would have to say that Liberty is Green. And Liberty is by nature given, so what better color for nature than Green? Liberty is fertile and prolific, so its growth is Green. Green can mean both good luck and bad, and such is the reality of Liberty. Finally, if Green equals harmony, therein is the proper state of those living in Liberty, respecting the freedoms of each. ~tdv
